What small formats are used for

Small formats are where most customers first meet a fragrance. We supply the glass for each of these uses, and the packaging that goes around it.

Samples

A vial lets a customer wear a fragrance for a few days before committing to a full bottle. It is often the first physical thing they receive from a brand, so the glass, the closure and the print all carry weight.

Discovery sets

A set of vials presents a whole collection in one box. The vials need to sit together as a family and fit the insert exactly, which is why we plan the glass and the box as one project.

Travel sizes

Travel sprays in 10ml and 15ml give customers a version of the fragrance they can carry, in a bottle that shares its look with the full size.

Gift with purchase

Miniatures are a natural gift-with-purchase item and a simple way to introduce a second fragrance to an existing customer.

The whole set, not only the glass

A discovery set is several components that have to work together: the vials, their closures, the printed or labelled branding, and the box and insert that hold them. We develop these as one project, so the vial fits the insert and the finish on the glass matches the box.

Vials can be decorated in the same ways as a full-size bottle. Our decoration techniques are available from 3,000 units per SKU. For the box, see secondary packaging, which covers cartons, rigid boxes and discovery set formats.

Filling and assembly are coordinated through trusted partners, so a finished set can be delivered ready for sale.

Keeping a range consistent

A travel size works best when it looks like the bottle it belongs to. Sol, the bottle we designed ourselves, was developed as a family for that reason: the same shape in 10ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml.

Small formats: common questions

What is the minimum order for vials?

Plain stock glass, including our stock vials, starts at 1,000 units. Decoration applied directly to the glass, such as printing or colour spraying, starts at 3,000 units per SKU.

Which neck types do your vials come in?

Our stock vials include crimp, screw and push-fit necks. The right one depends on the closure you want to use and whether the vial needs to be refillable. Each product is listed with its neck type.

Can you supply the box for a discovery set as well as the vials?

Yes. We develop discovery set packaging alongside the glass, so the vials and the insert are made to fit one another. See our secondary packaging page for the box styles we offer.

Do you fill the vials?

We do not fill in house. Filling and assembly are coordinated through trusted partners, and we can manage that as part of your project.

How long do stock vials take?

Stock moulds already exist, so there is no tooling stage. The glass is produced to order, which typically takes 30 to 35 days, and our team confirms the timeline for each project.
