At KeepMe Lifestyle, we have partnered with numerous high-profile brands looking to enter or expand within the candle market, proudly positioning ourselves as a specialist supplier of premium-quality candle componentry.

While consumers see the finished candle as a moment of calm or a statement piece, what sits behind that experience is a carefully engineered combination of vessel design, material selection, fragrance development, and technical collaboration. Our role is to design, prototype and produce the components that make exceptional candles possible, and to work alongside trusted UK partners to bring them to life.

Over the years, we have supported leading brands including BDXY, Flannels, Jack Wills, numerous UK Retailers, Ted Baker and many more, developing candle vessels and coordinating production to deliver premium home fragrance collections.

Below, we share our supplier perspective on what goes into creating a market-leading candle, from vessel design and wax selection to fragrance development and UK filling partnerships.

Our Role: From Concept to Completed Candle

At KeepMe Lifestyle, our process is structured, technical and brand-led.

1. Design

Every candle begins with the vessel. As a component manufacturer, we design jars in:

  • Ceramic
  • Glass
  • Concrete

Each material brings a different aesthetic and performance profile. Ceramic offers tactility and artisanal appeal. Glass provides clarity, colour versatility and scalability. Concrete delivers weight, texture and architectural presence.

We design with both brand identity and manufacturing practicality in mind, considering wall thickness, heat performance, fill volume, decoration techniques and packaging compatibility from the outset.

2. Prototype

Before production, we create technical prototypes. This stage allows us to test:

  • Dimensional accuracy
  • Finish quality (glaze, colour, texture)
  • Decoration feasibility (printing, embossing, metallic finishes)
  • Heat resistance and structural integrity

Prototyping ensures the vessel performs as beautifully as it looks.

3. Sampling

Sampling bridges design and mass production. We refine:

  • Colour consistency
  • Surface treatments
  • Lid fit and tolerances
  • Branding execution

For premium retailers and fashion brands, sampling is critical — it ensures the finished candle aligns precisely with brand positioning.

4. Production of Candle Components

Once approved, we move to production of the jars and associated components. Our range of stock moulds allow us to achieve lower MOQ’s, whilst our technical abilities support bespoke moulds. As specialists in candle vessels, we focus on:

  • Material consistency
  • Batch colour accuracy
  • Structural durability
  • Decoration precision
  • Supply chain reliability

Our responsibility is to deliver vessels that not only elevate shelf appeal but also support optimal burn performance once filled.

5. Working with UK Fillers

KeepMe Lifestyle does not operate filling lines directly. Instead, we collaborate with experienced UK-based fillers who specialise in wax pouring, wick setting and final assembly. We can work with these partners to provide a full-service, finished product. Equally we can free-issue components for clients that wish to manage their contract fillers. This approach ensures:

  • High quality control standards
  • UK compliance alignment
  • Flexible production runs
  • Reliable lead times

By combining our component expertise with trusted filling partners, brands receive a fully realised candle without compromising on technical integrity.

Wax Selection: Performance Meets Positioning

Wax choice is both a technical and strategic decision. While we supply the vessel, we work closely with fillers and brands to align the wax system with the overall concept. Common wax systems include:

Soy Wax

Often positioned as a natural, clean-burning option. It offers a smooth finish and strong consumer recognition but requires careful optimisation for scent throw and surface performance.

Coconut Wax

Known for its excellent fragrance retention and creamy appearance. Frequently used in blends to enhance scent distribution and aesthetics.

Rapeseed Wax

Increasingly popular in the UK and Europe due to sustainability credentials. It can perform extremely well when properly formulated.

Paraffin Wax

Highly reliable with strong scent throw and consistent burn performance. Often selected for bold fragrance impact or blended to enhance natural wax systems.

Blended Systems

Many premium candles use tailored blends (e.g. soy–coconut or rapeseed–paraffin) to balance:

  • Burn time
  • Scent throw
  • Surface finish
  • Sustainability messaging

From our perspective as component suppliers, wax selection influences vessel diameter, wall thickness and heat distribution — making early collaboration essential.

The Importance of Fragrance Development

Fragrance is the emotional core of a candle. It defines the consumer’s memory and experience.

At KeepMe Lifestyle, we work in conjunction with brands and leading UK fragrance houses such as CPL Aromas to select and develop scent profiles that align with brand DNA.

This collaborative process includes:

  • Fragrance family exploration (floral, woody, gourmand, fresh, oriental)
  • Balancing top, heart and base notes
  • Testing fragrance performance within chosen wax systems
  • Evaluating cold throw and hot throw
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance

The interaction between fragrance oil and wax is highly technical. Fragrance load must be optimised - too little results in weak performance; too much can destabilise the wax system.

By coordinating between oil supplier, filler and vessel design, we ensure that the final candle delivers a cohesive sensory experience.

Why Candles Remain the Centrepiece of Home Fragrance

Despite the growth of diffusers and sprays, candles remain dominant because they deliver a multi-sensory experience:

  • Ambient light
  • Gentle flame movement
  • Gradual fragrance release
  • Decorative presence

From a supplier standpoint, this means the vessel is not just packaging - it is part of the ritual. It sits in living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms as a visible extension of the brand.

The jar must therefore perform on three levels:

  1. Aesthetic impact
  2. Thermal performance
  3. Brand storytelling

Supporting Premium Brands

Our experience working with Luxury Brands has reinforced one key insight; a successful candle is the result of aligned expertise.

  • The brand defines the vision.
  • We design and produce the componentry.
  • The fragrance house develops the scent.
  • The UK filler ensures safe, consistent production.

When these elements are coordinated correctly, the result is more than a candle - it is a branded experience.
