World Enviroment Day

What is World Environment Day?

World Environment Day, marked annually on June 5, unites millions of people worldwide in a collective effort to protect and restore our planet. This global platform inspires positive change, with participants from over 150 countries joining together. This United Nations international day highlights environmental action and showcases the power of governments, businesses, and individuals to create a more sustainable world.
This year’s World Environment Day campaign highlights land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience with the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” Drought and desertification pose significant threats to crucial ecosystems worldwide, including freshwater systems and soil, which are vital for sustaining all life on Earth.

#GenerationRestoration

We cannot turn back time, but we can plant forests, restore water sources, and rejuvenate soils. We are the generation that can forge a harmonious relationship with the land.
